Although his mainstream career lasted just four years prior to his death in 1970, the legend of Jimi Hendrix continues to live on in the form of a slot machine. His popularity was so high that he’s still remembered now and surely will be long into the future. Thanks to NetEnt, the musician who was described as “the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music” now lives on the form of a slot machine, known as the Jimi Hendrix slot game.

About Jimi Hendrix

Known for songs like Foxy Lady and Purple Haze, the Jimmy Hendrix slot game is just as good as the music that he created. The slot is easy to play and understand, whilst combining simple graphics and high levels of entertainment quality. The Sixties vibe to the slot is reminiscent of the Jimi Hendrix era and it perfectly suits the American guitarist. The Jimi Hendrix slot features five reels and is played over 20 paylines. The lower value symbols in the game are the normal J, Q, K, A and 10, however there are a number of higher value musical-related symbols as well. These include the white guitar, a vinyl disc, a heart, an eye, a flower and the peace logo. The interface to the slot is of a fantasy desert view.

How to play

Don’t forget to set up the game correctly, with betting options suited to you before banging your head and rocking to the Jimi Hendrix slot game. Like a vast number of NetEnt games that are available, the interface to the game is easy to navigate around and is also very user-friendly. To enter and determine your coin value, click on the “Coin Value” selector, which will change the limits to your preferences. The lowest is at 0.01 and the highest is 1.00. Next to the “Coin Value” icon is a section titled “Coins”. This shows the number of coins that you have to wager and the number changes each time you alter your coin value. To play at the highest bet level, click “Max Bet”, which will allow you to play the game at the maximum bet lines and the current coin value. You can then proceed to start playing the game. To initiate gameplay, click the “Spin” button and the reels will start to move. There is also an “Autoplay” feature which will lead to the reels turning automatically for a certain number of spins without interruption.

Wild Symbols

The wild symbol in the game is Jimi Hendrix himself. He can be substituted for all other symbols except the scatters. There are a number of scatters in this game, including the red guitar, the Jimi/white guitar symbols and the Purple Haze.

Bonus Features

To play the Pick and Click bonus, just land three of the Jimi/white guitar scatter symbols anywhere on reels three, four and five. Once you’ve done that, you play a game until you have found three matching symbols which will then award you with one of the following prizes.

• Coin Win – Receive a multiplier of your total bets of between 8x and 30x.
• Crosstown Traffic Free Spins – Six free spins are awarded with one or two completely wild reels appearing on various reels of each spin.
• Purple Haze Free Spins – Six to twelve free spins are awarded with three, four or five wilds added to the reels on each spin.

If you land the Purple Haze symbol on reel one, the symbol will turn wild along with all of the other lower value symbols and the payout will be determined.

To trigger this feature, land four red guitar symbols on the reels. The guitars will stay on the reels for one respin and the game will continue as more red guitars land on the reels. When no more guitars land, the payout will be determined and the game restarts.
